A Penchant for Penns Grove in New Jersey
Di Paolo’s Italian Ristorante has it origins from the Italian Kitchen when it first opened its doors in downtown Penns Grove, New Jersey. It has always been run by members of the Di Paolo family and is noted throughout the southern New Jersey area for it’s family-style Italian dinners. Having been raised in an Italian family, the owner fondly remembers many great meals he and his relatives shared in the historic Italian neighborhood of Penns Grove. Much of this once centered on lovely Pitman Street not far from Di Paolo’s. The current menu consists of a variety of Italian delicacies including fettucine, pasta amatriciana, and other delicacies from the village of Valle San Giovanni and the Abruzzo Region of Italy. Look carefully and you will likely find homemade scrippelle on the menu.
Known for its wonderful food and friendly service, Di Paolo’s Italian Ristorante continues to entertain old friends and new in a casual setting that will leave you satisfied and happy you stopped in.
Di Paolo’s is well known for the lovely mural of Valle San Giovanni which graces one of the dining room walls. Art lovers come from all over the world to catch a glimpse of this breathtaking capolavoro (masterpiece).
While in Salem County don’t miss the informal dining experiences nearby at the Roman Pantry and at the Italian Kitchen located in nearby Pennsville, New Jersey.
